Quiet Moments

Still holding hands

Still holding hands (Photo credit: TempusVolat)

These quiet moments by your side
Above all doubt, above all pride
Heads here bent, and arms entwined
Drinking all from the divine

These soft words spoken end of day
that wash all fear and pain away
A touch of silk or softest hand
as fellow travellers we stand

Such words of love are quite obscure
We can’t articulate the pure
well of emotion, it is here
Like memories found this time of year

My soul begins and ends with you
There is no wish or task to do
No risk to lose or misconstrue
The flame of passion burns us through

  2. I have told my husband we have to live to 120 (to be safe we married at 19 but I don’t want us missing it by a month) so we can married 100 years, when I grow old together I want to grow old ridiculously old, it is ambitious but we are stubborn and he has relatives in the 100s at least My relatives are horribly terrifyingly unhealthy (think the worst of the American diet and add drugs for some of them) very weirdly and mysteriously I have zero instances of Diabetes in my family, almost no cancer or heart disease that is really weird considering they are basically eating lard sandwiches

  3. Absolutely beautiful, Dear Sis. Wow..just lovely. πŸ™‚
