Never

English: Woodland path

English: Woodland path (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Now never a path back
This road is broken
Beaten down
This is just sterile
Conquered ground
Now never a path back

We’ll never speak of this
As strangers pass
Across these streets
Where only loss
And terror meets
We’ll never speak of this

You ask and I’ll reply
But once and only once
I’ll never be your friend
That chance is gone
And here this ends
You’ll ask and I’ll reply

The promise falls to never
A glance of hope
Now so long ago
Is but the path
Where none may go
The promise falls to never

  1. This is a path I think we’ve all travelled at times…. a sad reality it is. Beautifully written Sis xxx

It is so sad to lose friendship. This really touched me, Sis! Lovely work.
