Butterfly
Monarch princess for
Too brief life

Beautiful
Royal pattern flies
Cross the sky

Freedom is
Your birthright and the
Price you pay

Brevity
Is beauty’s namesake
Once again

They’re weird things butterflies. They start off as caterpillars, then when they pupate they don’t just grow wings and stuff, they actually turn into an amorphous goo, and then every single cell restructures itself into a butterfly. It’s actually regarded as two separate life cycles. Very odd.

  3. I love all things butterfly

  4. Brevity is life’s namesake, as well. So much, fleeting. Like this piece.
