English: An artist’s impression of our home galaxy – the Milky Way. Our solar system is one of billions in the galaxy. And the galaxy is one of billions in the universe. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Across the galaxy
An eye winks at me

Across the milky way
Hands beckon me away

Our solar system craves
Us risen from our graves

Across the galaxy
See how they sing for me?

“Across the galaxy An eye winks at me…” 1. Can I borrow your telescope? It’s more powerful than mine. 2. Given than light takes millions of years to cross galaxies, presumably said eye wasn’t actually winking at you, per se, but at what was likely to be you in several million years’ time.

  4. Skye says:

Awwwww…..I am winking at you, too, from the USA–turn your telescope this-a-way!! Great writing, Sis!!

  5. I’m ready for the Mothership to come pick me up! 😉
