Perfect

You were too perfect to be true
The fairest flower
Has lightest hue
But to what gods
You owed your due
For being you

You were too beauteous I see
Such sweet perfection
Isn’t free
And what a waste
You laid to me
For being we

You were an artifice of design
Your poetry
So ill-defined
And such a cost
I felt, entwined
For being thine

  1. Beautiful and sad. How is your book doing?

    • Sales are slow but I didn’t expect a lot to start with as I am not really marketing yet beyond this blog and friends. 🙂 Just got it up on kindle though so will blog on that later this morning. Have started putting together a Facebook author page but haven’t made it public till it’s done. Will look at doing a kindle author page too – did you do that and was it worthwhile?

How is your new book going? Hope it’s selling like wild fire!!
