Damage

Schism

Schism (Photo credit: lukeroberts)

I have a scar line
A schism of sin
For many years a tiny tear
Hidden within
Days pass, it ruptures
Silent and sure
All of this damage
Floods to the floor

I have a smile now
Stretches my face
For many years part genuine
Part grace
Years pass and you come
Open the door
All of this damage
Floods to the floor

I have a weakness
Inside my mind
Made me a believer once
So blind
I guess in the end
This is what you were for
All of this damage
Floods to the floor
