Evil

Evil waits
Till you cease looking
Till you are calm
And don’t see true
Evil wears
The face of angels
To ensnare
And beguile you

Evil’s patience
Is unstinting
Waiting silent
On its prey
It’s the darkness
Fast approaching
When you just see
Break of day

Evil is
Evil is real
Evil is so intelligent
Evil will wait
Evil Is

Your face seemed kind
The day you smiled at me
It’s true I fell
I wanted to believe
But from the moment I looked back
I’m never free
You took all innocence in your wake
So evilly

Evil was born
Silently
With the will to separate
Eons pass
The will now falters
Seeks to deviate

Evil once born
Can never die
It’s a primal source
It seeks to swallow
All its children
Without remorse

Evil is
The door you should never open
And yet
You turn the key…..

The creepiness of evil and the reality and our susceptibility to “turn the key” … wonderfully caught. Where to go next … that’s hopefully another entry?
