This year
Dreams long held silent
And asleep
Awaken
This year

This month
Hidden truths are drawn
To life’s brittle
Surface
This month

This day
The reconciliation of opposites
Shines new light
On paths once
Impossible
This day

This hour
Peace descends; a dove
White feathered wonder
Singing forgotten songs
This hour

Reads like a countdown… Nicely done…. was expecting a “This Minute” stanza. πŸ™‚

This hour, this minute, I’m rolling myself a cigarette and trying to ignore the cat snoring on the bed next to me.

i like the form – each stanza is like a little book – pages within two covers (identical). xx
