We are of the fallen
Giant wings folded
Glancing behind us
To horizons lost
We are of the fallen
Icarus’ brothers
Sun worship songs
Of ancient times
We are of the fallen
Strove for a moment
To be only ourselves
A thing apart
We are of the fallen
Fell for this folly
Took the choice given
Paying the cost
We are of the fallen
Broken and splintered
Yearning for unity
Communion of the lost

Nice poem, goes well with the picture.
Thank you!! 🙂 🙂
It’s what happens when a god buys a drink for an earthling
Yep, that’s a good way of putting it!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Excellent poem. I don’t know anything about the Nephilim. They sound like fallen angles going by this.
They are meant to be the children of fallen angels and human women – a biblical reference, used here somewhat literally and somewhat allegorically. 🙂 🙂
Really cool. I learned something today. 😀 Thanks.
Welcome! 🙂
We are.
Yes, that may very well be true! Thank you!! 🙂 🙂
It reminds me of a good poem for Memorial Day here this weekend. I liked it a lot, Helen.
Thank you so much!! 🙂 🙂
Excellent I have several okay 2 lol characters of the Nephillim class
Cool, thanks!! 🙂 🙂
