What song will you sing
In this moment
Of dark remembering?

What words will you say
As the world we knew
Passes away?

What eulogy you write
As shadows
Encompass this night?

And what flavour your sigh
While in lost
Defeat we now die?

Oh what song will you sing
And what dark morn
Shall this bring?

  1. Amazing Grace. That would be the song. (mint chocolate chip would be the flavor of my sigh–sorry…bad day–ice cream needed) Loved this Helen. It was so hauntingly beautiful.

I do not grieve at these moments, I enrage and unsheath a sword, so my song would defenatly not be something slow or sad, but something calling to keep fighting.
Great poem, I enjoyed the questioning tone and how I did not only read it,but think about it aswell after.
