Petty villainy
In the day-to-day affairs
Of an office life
Bullies rise to power
On the shoulders of their prey
Before they strike down
All purpose is lost
What the company provides
Is secondary
We reward the ones
We should throw now from our midst
Before they can rule
But complacency
Steals the chance to make things right
From this Fortune’s fool

[ Smiles ] You are welcome, my friend!
Ah, I know that world well……
Yes, I think this situation is fairly ubiquitous in office environments… 🙂
So you’ve obviously worked for the civil service then?
Yes, the Australian version thereof!!! LOL!!! It shows that much does it??? 🙂
Weird, just had a conversation about poor management not just 15 minutes ago. Actually that is probably not weird enough as it should be. That thought makes me a bit sad. 😦
Yes, it is a very common phenomenon unfortunately! 🙂
Mmmm and stupidity, can’t forget that…. It’s all I see at the moment. Great poem! I definitely see what you describe!
Yes, very true, but that may deserve a poem all to itself!! LOL!! 🙂
This is an excellent representation of a frustrating reality.
Thank you so much!! 🙂 🙂
Another excellent read my dear Sis xxx
You and Roxie are killing me with these spiders….shudders!! This was excellent, Sis!
LOL…and yesterday at work someone was describing a particular person as a spider, and I thought of the image for the poem and its theme and thought about how often odd coincidences like that occur…. 🙂
Thank you!! xxx 🙂 🙂
Tough day at work? I am sometimes horrified by the politics of society
My job has los of office politics involved…goes with the territory! 🙂 🙂
