On this day
And on this morn
The past gives way
A dream is born
Aspiring eyes
Will softly gleam
And slowly rise
To clutch their dream
The pen will write
The voice will sing
The power of might
The righteous bring
A soul will see
First steps along
A reverie
Of words and song
And should we find
Enraptured hearts
Leave more behind
From more depart
The road we walk
Here hand in hand
Needs none to talk
We understand
Follow the star
That guides us through
We journey far
We yearn for you
Enwrap your wings
Around our hearts
Such shimmering things
Mark where we start

A great big huge sigh. That’s what I just did. Thank you for a beautifully crafted, well written piece! Loved it!
Thank you so much – I really enjoyed writing this one, it seemed to come out of somewhere to me like a gift. 🙂
🙂 I love this one!
Thank you, I hoped you might! The funny thing is I write my poetry in batches then post weeks ahead…this poem was actually written the day before we corresponded in comments on your blog about the importance of a phoenix as a symbol – generally and to you, and I remember thinking how spooky it was to have written it the day before! Creativity and synchronicity are mysterious indeed!! 🙂
That is spooky and really cool. Like attracts like. I am really glad that you wrote it and posted it 🙂
This could be a song, I can almost here it set to music. Very well done! Thanks Helen! 🙂
*hear *sigh*
Thank you so much…I will try to think of a melody (not that I could write it unfortunately as Im not a musician, but it would be nice to have it like that in my head, so thanks for the idea!!) … 🙂
Amazing!!!
Thank you, that is so kind! 🙂
Helen…..Fantastic!!! Loved it.
Thank you!!! 🙂
A rhyme for the times, Helen.
Good work here! 🙂
Cheerz to you! Uncle Tree
Thank you so much!! 🙂 🙂
I have awarded you with the Versatile Blogger Award! Please check out my post to receive the award http://wrestling-life.com/2013/04/14/versatile-blogger-award/ This is a NO pressure nomination. You don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to. I just wanted you to know that I am pleased to have you as part of my blogging world!
Thank you so much – I may not have time to follow this through properly – have some day to day work to do this afternoon that will eat up a lot of time (even though its the weekend…sigh…) leaving probably only enough time to keep up with some following of the blogs (such as yours 🙂 ) in my Reader etc..but thank you so much for thinking of me, I am truly honoured! 🙂
Please know that with me there are never any obligations when I give you an award. It is simply my way of saying thank you to you 🙂 Your blog is an inspiration for me. 🙂
Thanks so much, and ditto right back at you!! It’s fabulous how supportive and mutually inspirational this blogging community is. 🙂
It is truly a gift to me right now at this time in my life 🙂
So inspiring just this morning I was thinking about inner strength and resiliency!
Thank you – this is one of those special poems that sort of came out of the ether like a gift. Glad you liked it! 🙂
It is a gift to all who read it too =)
