Must have bath
I’m not spending the next two years
Only showering
Must be close to shops
I have no interest in driving long distances
Just to get milk
Must be close to work
I also have no interest in driving and parking
In the city
Must be safe
I like living alone
But I don’t want fear
Must be quiet
I’m an old fogey now
And need my sleep
Must feel welcoming
Ghosts are welcome co-tenants
Only if they’re friendly
Must have storage
I honestly don’t know how
I’ve collected all this junk
Minimal garden too
I’ve never had a green thumb
And never will
Checklist ready
How much will I
Need to compromise
By the end?

Thanks, yes, it’s how I always feel before I move home. π
Loved this!! Favorite part……the bubble bath…..I giggled!!! Hugs!!
Yes…baths have a habit of turning up in our writings, must be because life is not really worth it without that luxury from time to time…LOL. π
Very familiar π
LOL..yes, I guess it is what most people feel when they move – other’s lists might be different, but we all seek out certain non-negotiables when we move. π
Yeah… unfortunately they are sometimes mutually exclusive… π
Haha my husband and I are looking for places too and we have a lot of the same requirements. I can’t drive (Epilepsy) so it sort of forces us to be in the city which is expensive. In the country we could get a house but in the city only apartment. We also need a big kitchen and since I have a daughter who will become a teenage girl eventually we need an extra bathroom!
Good luck in your search…in my experience you can usually get most of the things you want, but not necessarily all. I hope it works out well for you! π
I hope it works out well for you too =). I don’t have a green thumb either!
Perfectly put. A fun poem about a stressful time, lovely. π
Thanks so much!!! : π
