Susseration
Sounds, sibilant
Surrounding silence
Murmuring memories
I am alive
I am alive
Breathing betrays
Beckoning beauty
Breaking all boundaries
Reflecting realities
I know death
I know death
Faithless friend
Forebears and fathers
Foster no fealty
Embracing endlessness
This is all
Give me All
This is all…..

Wow intense my friend…. and hauntingly beautiful too … huggs đ
Thank you so much…the thoughts and feelings behind this were oddly intense..like I was really imagining that strange, flickering dying of the light that I expect accompanies death…I’m pleased if some of that feeling has transported into the words. đ
the flickering dying of light is pretty darn close to what happens when one is close to death…. I know…. but more importantly is that you were able to sense that and assimilate that into words. excellent write my friend.
The first stanza reminded me of V from V for Vendetta :). This poem is so beautiful. I feel like you shot it out of the park :). Why don’t you try to get published?
Thank you so much – I hadn’t really thought about trying to get my poetry published. I’ve sort of just been doing it to stay in the creative zone and for this blog. But I will gviv it some thought, I really appreciate your kind support. đ
đ I really think that you should submit some of your poetry. In the future don’t post the poems that you feel are especially well written. Why? Because the ones that are that you post most places won’t accept them because they count publishing them in your blog the same as publishing them in an online or print magazine. It sucks waiting to see if you are accepted or not because it takes time to get a response but I truly believe that you have a really good chance. You might want to check out Writer’s Market (they have a Poetry edition for each year). You can find out about a lot of places to submit online but I really recommend getting knowledgeable about whether or not a source is reputable. There are also many poetry contests that pay online. Some magazines pay but many don’t that are online. I honestly think that maybe you should put together a poetry collection and have your blog promote it. If you get published you can use the sources that published you by listing them on the back of your poetry book to help sell your work. I know you consider this a hobby but you have way more talent than this just being something that you spend your time on. Your poetry should be shared with a wider audience and you should receive compensation for it. Not only is your poetry of great quality you also have a vision (separating them based on tarot themes). Honestly, Helenvalentina, you have been nominated for so many blog awards. Someone from up high is trying to get your attention and let you know that you should pursue this beyond writing a blog about it. I hope I am not coming off too annoying but helping people realize their potential is something that God gave me and I need to express it.
Thank you so much – really appreciated, and you are not annoying at all..how could you be when what you say is so kind? That’s great advice…I really never thought of trying to publish my poetry…only novels, which I’m in the process of preparing for. But it is a good idea..perhaps I will work on a poetry project off line then take up your advice…I didn’t realise that publishing online on a blog would be an impediment, so that’s fantastic to now know. Thank you so much again!! đ
I like this poem for many reasons đ
1. I LOVE learning new words.
2. The words you use in this poem, even while being read, already SOUND so exquisite, so delicately put together, the balance like an artist đ
3. I love the imagery, the contrast
4. I love the simplicity, the brevity
5. I just love the poem
đ
Thank you so much, that is very kind. đ
‘Tis da way itiz ! đ
