Thai Food Craving

Q2 Thai Cuisine

Q2 Thai Cuisine (Photo credit: lulun & kame)

I am craving
Thai food
Sweet and spicy
Succulent and tender
Curries and stir fries
Rice soaked with juices
Coconut milk and bamboo

I wonder if
I’ve too little salt
In my system
This craving is so strong
Or I’ve spent too much time
Writing and dreaming
And now hunger
Rules my mind

Chinese food too delicate
Perhaps
I need flavour
Like an explosion
I need richness
Deeper sustenance

I crave
Thai food
So it’s floating
Like a vision
In my mind’s eye
Calling me
A siren on the rocks
Leading to the lovely oblivion
Of indulgence
