Dangerous

night drive

night drive (Photo credit: Alex Dodd)

Dangerous driving
Without headlights
Careening down
A darkened road
An accident
Yearning to happen
A wild heart
Set to explode

Somehow stealthy
Always lethal
Crouching evil
With intent
Hides in shadows
Clothed in darkness
Brutal heart
That won’t relent

    My favorite lines are:

    A wild heart
    Set to explode

    And

    Brutal heart
    That won’t relent

I love it when words are few and they are strong, powerful and image provoking. This poem (like many of your other poems) is a great concept. It continually amazes me that you produce so many well written, awesome concept poems regularly. πŸ™‚
