Eternity

Patience is
a virtue they say
so I wait

Hours pass
like a year or more
in a day

If you’d smile
turn your gaze to me
you would see

Moments now
without your gaze are
eternity

“here’s looking at you, kid … ” I know, I am only funny in my own mind, but … I liked the over-exaggeration, “like a year or more in a day” which brought a smile, and the sentiment of how one gaze equates to Eternity … 353 a shortened haiku form?
