This whirling dervish
Mystical dance
A supplicant in
Graceful frenzy
In ecstatic communion
With the Beloved
Fiery sparks
Ignite the soul
In a glory of Oneness
Through every twirling round.

Like most people, I have a number of sides to me. The most interesting one probably emerges through my writing, hence this blog. I love to read, and also to write, and so this is a way to share both.

loved it, have you tried the samaa’ or the sufi dance?
Thank you! π No, I have not tried the traditions or dance myself, I just studied the mystical tradition behind it many years ago and found it such a rich, beautiful mystical belief system. π While I do not follow Islam personally I have such enormous respect for sufism, the writings that arise from it alone are some of the most beautiful spiritual texts I’ve ever read.
Indeed, so you must have heard about the brilliant Rumi i guess?
Yes, Rumi …very beautiful writing. π
Great evocation! I like this one a lot.
Thank you so much!! π
