Winter

Winter falls
He walks alone
Down pathways known
Only to him

Snow blasts
Across tired eyes
Blinding, dull
Deep surprise

Rugged up
In animal skin
He holds the cold
Deep within

Winter falls
He walks alone
Down pathways known
Only to him

My goodness, you paint a powerful story, Helen. His walk is our own, isn’t it? Sometimes even the walker is blinded by the winter. Beautifully written!

  2. Well done, Helen. Good to read on a hot day as well.
