Hymn to the Fall

Hovering above me this crystal night I felt
the hand of spirits caress my cheek and then
it seemed I heard them speak and call me traitor, call me weak
As though upon their testimony worlds would rise and fall

These many roads I travel both on foot and in my mind
coalesce to one true journey over valleys
crossing mountains and deep gulleys and within my soul is sullied
by the choices that are given and the promises recalled

In this bleak and utter darkness
fretful I toss within my sleep and call out
to all the angels deep to tend to promises I’ll keep
before daylight breaks above me to forgive me for it all

I have bled out all my deeper loss and sorrow
and accepted every demon kiss , no denial
that I summoned this and ached for pleasure, yearned for bliss
and true individuation that is nothing but the Fall

Wow! I agree…no autumn leaves here! 🙂 I love the depths that your mind travel and how you pour them out for us to get lost in. You fascinate and cause my mind to go to places it normally wouldn’t. Yup…I am rather boring. 🙂 Love that about you, Sis!! ❤
