All This And More

The mercurial mind of one
who entertained
Vibrant words and articulate hands
dancing before me
Drawing laughter from the depths,
all life’s absurdities
All this and more
he was to me

The one most trusted and true
who guarded
against the wrath and the need of others
dancing around me
In the quiet of my life
he came and found me
All this and more
he was to me

The fatal flaw of weakness and fear,
words unspoken
Trying to coax them from my mouth,
dancing before me
What was it then
did he implore me?
All this and more
he was to me
