A profile of you
Pensive, by the door
Reflecting times past
When we twirled upon
A rose-bled dance floor

Slope of nose
Slightly raised chin
In this silhouette
All memoirs of love
Will end as they begin

Your voice is a song
I sing when no-one is there
Reminds me of your face
As you stopped a moment
To glance back, on the stair

As you left, a profile of you
Departing, when all is gone
Is the last that I
Will recall of this
Heartbreak’s final song.

Obviously not my profile. Mine doesn’t so much have a ‘slope of a nose’ as ruddy great cresta run.
