In fashion’s hues do I adorn
My body now, clothed every morn
And should these colours somehow jar
I leave my household quite forlorn
The slightest clash I find will mar
A fashionista would-be star
Or last year’s shoes will passe make
This fashion aim that reached too far
The thought that I could now mistake
A trend, will see my sureness shake
Brings forth a fear that I’m alone
And at such prospect shall I quake
So temporary is the throne
That fashion leaders wish to own
I would be best to leave alone
Obsession with my style or tone.

Hahaha, I’m such a crime against fashion. 😀
I probably am too actually, though I try I don’t think I’m a fashion natural, LOL… 🙂
Same here. I think I’m at the level of fashion war crime. 🙂
I stick to the classics, can’t really go wrong there, no matter how boring that is.
Very wise I think. 🙂
I nominated you for Inspiring blogger award!!!http://soadhachami.wordpress.com/2013/04/08/i-got-nominated/
Thank you so much! that is so very kind of you! My time is very limited at the moment so I may not be able to follow through on the nomination rules etc, but if so please know I very much appreciate you thinking of me! 🙂
The pic you chose got me curious and I actually went to the Flickr account to see more! It was a fun ride 🙂 Oh, by the way, love this line: “The slightest clash I find will mar A fashionista would-be star” 🙂
Thanks so much – I’m not very clever with the pictures I hae to admit, I just choose from the ones in the wordpress library…glad you enjoyed the poem!! 🙂
I love the flow and wording of this poem 🙂
Thank you, so much appreciated! It’s modelled on the form of one of my favourite Robert Frost poems, but not so deep a subject as he usually wrote about!! 🙂
